The Much Anticipated New TRL/MNL Series

After much e-conversation we have finally arrived at what we'll be talking about over the next 10 weeks or so at TRL/MNL...

"People We Love to hate: groups who've been abused, hurt, rejected and despised!"

Over the centuries there have been lots of groups who have been considered "the enemy". They've been abused, rejected, despised and hurt. Whether you're thinking about Jews during WWII, African Americans in the middle of the Twentieth Century, or Christians during the time of Nero there have always been groups who take the brunt of a culture's hatred. What makes people ? What causes certain group to be on the receiving end of the hatred? What does God have to say about all of this? The unfortunate reality is that very often the hating is done under the umbrella of religion. Does God condone hatred? What does He have to say about , about groups of people who are d, or about the ones doing the hating?

Sound intriguing? I thought so too! So show up starting Tuesday January 3rd (Or Monday January 9th) and we'll see where we end up.

The groups we're planning on tackling are:
~Other Races
~Other Religions
~Siblings
~Parents
~People in Authority (over us)
~Homosexuals
~Disabled
~Anyone Different (from us) AKA: 'Dorks, Geeks, & Nerds...Oh my!'

If you think we're missing a people group feel free to blog it here!

You ttok my thing "Dorks, geeks and nerds, Oh my!" Yes, I guess it does sound intriguing. But you need to learn how to finish your sentences, cuz there's like 3 sentences that I don't think are finished.

Some of us TRL-ers might not like old people. Like, the Convalecent Care Center, they don't like it there cuz they feel uncomfortable or something...

Huh? Whatever. Like you said a couple of weeks ago Chris, people who've hurt us in the past, or like I said, people who we hold grudges against. Those are basically the same thing, but yeah, we could hate those people.

Hey, I thought of another topic when this one is done. The Fruit of The Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control(if anyone didn't know). It would be good.

I think another good one is like how to share your faith and reasons we shouldn't be ashamed about it. Cuz I know a lot of people who try and avoid the fact that they're a Christian or act as if they're not cuz they wanna fit in and not be "persecuted."

both good suggestions!

How about an "American Idol" theme? Stuff we American Idolize and put before God? Sports, money, entertainment, guy/girl relationships, what else?

11:56 AM

I was thinking about that the other day cuz like a lot of people watch American Idol, and yeah. So I was thinking that America is just trying to brainwash us defenseless Americans with subliminal messages into thinking that we should worship tangible human things instead of the one true God. AND some things that people could worship instead of God are music ( I guess that kind of fits in the entertainment), friends, people, action heroes, themsleves, models, cell phones, STARBUCKS!! (*cough cough* Jamie *cough*) Yeah, so.... yeah.
