American Idol

So the next MNL/TRL series is called American Idol. We think it would be fun to do a whole spoof on the TV phenomenon American Idol.

Here's what that would look like:
First Week: American Idol style talent show. I need people who will do some real talent type acts, but I also want some folks who are willing to do some goofball stuff (like real bad Haiku poetry) to give our judges a chance to "rail"!
Following Weeks: We'll talk about the things Americans Idolize (like money, popularity, etc) and what God has to say about that stuff in His Word. We'll also wrap in some "great" acts from the first few seasons of American Idol (the TV show).

I need two things from you:
1. Ideas of the things Americans Idolize. What do you think we put at the top of our list of most important things? What do we value the most in our culture? What things are we willing to do almost anything to get?

2. Work up an act and let me know you're ready to perform!

We will start the series with the Talent Show TRL April 25/ MNL May 1
