MySpace Community
Here's the questions:
Do you have a MySpace account? Why or why not?
How much time would you say you spend on MySpace every week?
What is so apealing about MySpace?
Do you think people are more honest about who they are on MySpace, or are they more pretend because they can be relatively anonomous?
A friend of mine said, "When you think about it, MySpace is kinda nerdy..." Sitting in front of acomputer screen and talking with people you don't even know. What do you think about his statement?

"Do you have a MySpace account? Why or why not?"-I don't have a MySpace account cuz I don't want to deal with all the strange psychos in the wide universe of internet.
"How much time would you say you spend on MySpace every week?"-Not much.
"What is so appealing about MySpace?"-I think people like it because they can keep in touch with people and meet new people. Like, one person will be like, "I have a MySpace account," so all their friends go home and get MySpace.
"Do you think people are more honest about who they are on MySpace, or are they more pretend because they can be relatively annomous?"-I think it depends. If you are only 13, you would probably say they're a lot older. I think you have to be like 17 or something anyway.
"When you think about it MySpace is kinda nerdy..."-Maybe in a way, IF you are just sitting in front of the computer all day talking to people you don't know (Like my cousin.)
So there's my opinion.
thanx, Amanda
No prob.
Hey its me Kyle, sorry I haven't dropped in as of late, I just bookmarked this page so I'm gonna try and post more often.
Anyway back to the subject. I don't have a Myspace account I prefer more hands on online interaction (as in playing an online shooting video game and fragging my friends) But, I can understand why people would be drawn to it. Its a chance to talk about subjects that they are interested in with people who have similar interests. Its also a way for people to make friends and meet new people. In fact in many of my online video games, I frequently find my self standing in one place and private messaging my friends. We just talk about things sometimes, we use it like an instant messenger.
Personally I don't feel intersested in joining Myspace. I would rather would rather participate in some kind of online activity with my friends I know in real life, they are always much easier to interact with, and talk to, and I already know all about them.
Anyway there you have it my 2 cents
-Kyle
Ok.
Cool! Thanx for the response
This song is by a straightedge hardcore band from Washington D.C. called Good Clean Fun. It's "The MySpace Song."
Paula came from DC,
She was a whole lot like me,
She grew up on star wars
We went to shows in the park,
Professed our love in the dark,
Roadtrips and hardcore
It was according to plan,
We were like Lloyd Dobbler and Diane Cort,
Two hearts in the same place
Then you know what she did,
She met an internet kid,
They fell in love on MySpace
I know that websites don’t kill,
But sometimes they will
Sometimes they will break hearts
I know that I’m an adult,
But Tom it’s your fault
You created a monster
Dave didn’t know what to do,
Yeah he was Tom’s victim too,
Sheila left him last week
Now he is all doom and gloom,
He won’t come out of his room,
The Neighbors hear Morrissey
Heartbreak has its appeal,
I know how emo kids feel,
But that is not for me
I wrote one sad quiet song,
And we can all sing along,
But we will stay posi
Now he sits in the darkness as events recur
She sits in the light of the monitor
And he knows he’s lost her by her demeanor
Internet grass is always greener
Super fantastic! Do you have the DC/MP3? I'd like to hear the recorded version!
iI just listened to the song and it's sooo awesome. It has got to be my current favorite song. Ironically the only place I could find the song was on their MySpace page. It's www.myspace.com/goodcleanfun.
It's actually acoustic. Yeah. It sounds pretty simple, you should learn it and play it at TRL. That would be fun! :-p
I surfed a little and found I can buy their album on Amazon.com (probably won't, a little to 'screamy' for me) or I can download the single song from Walmart.com (yah, I had a hard time believing it too!). Rumor has it they have a music video to Myspace Song... I'd be able to use that at some point. Keep me up on what you hear.
You can buy it on iTunes too. I thought about that, but you have to have an account and what not. So, if anyone is ever thinking of a present to get me an iTunes download card is the right thing! :)
Good Clean Fun isn't really "screamy," they're more like "yelly." Or as Alyssa would put it, "They're not screaming, they're just sining loud!"
'sining' loud or 'singing' loud? Two very different situations
I thought I fixed that. You know what I mean!
never had one never will
dont wanna, ya thats pretty much it
yeah
Hey Melina! Thankx for dropping in! WE have thought about a cover Cd... but the copyright stuff got complicated. Thankx for the thoughts about MySpace.
Well then, you guys should record a CD with the new people songs on it, the CBC's TRL Greatest Hits! Haha.
Can we sing that Enough song? I like that one. OR even better, can you give me the lyrics and chords for it??? If you ever have extra time on your hands, remember me! But, if you can't it's no big deal. Thanks.
WE'll shoot for it tonight... you can have the lead sheet when we're done.
Who'se the guy?
What guy?
Uh...the guy playing the flying keyboard...
Ohhhhhhh!!!!!! He's the synthesizer/key-tarist in Showbread.
Thank you thank you thank you for playing the song and giving me the chords. I found some but they were off on a lot of parts, and I'm to lazy to figure it out myself. Thank so much I love you forever.
So what now? Do you already have the next topic all picked out? Are you gonna go with the "American Idol" theme? Huh? Huh? Huh?
Check the fresh entry for all you wanna know... and you're welcome!
But the fresh entry was just pics from JH Winter Camp.
I saw your thingy in the thing about MySpace!
