Servant Evangelism Project

Hey Calvary! Obviously you made it to my blog.

Here's what I'm looking for from you. Spend a few minutes thinking about how Saturday went for you and your family. Talk to them about what they think. Then write a few sentences here about what the experience was like. Here's a few ideas to get you started, but you certainly don't need to just answer these.

- What were your thoughts going into the project? Scared, excited, resistant, nonchalant?

- As you were passing out the batteries, did you find yourself engaging with people, or standing 'on the sidelines'?

- As you got part way through your batteries, did you feel more or less fear? Did you feel yourself getting more excited about the project? Why?

- What were some of the responses of the people you 'showed God's love to in a practical way'?

- How do you feel now that the project is over? Would you do it again?

- Do you have any creative ideas for doing Servant Evangelism projects on your own?

The Pursuit Has Begun!

So the new series-- The Pursuit-- began last Tuesday night.

Remember the dates:
--October 21st for High School, that's when the game portion of The Pursuit begins. Between now and then you need to bring $5 to LIFE to sign up. You'll get your name and your gun October 21st.
-- October 25th will be for JH only. Laser tag at the church. Sign-ups will happen the 2 weeks before and the cost will be $1 (to cover batteries).

The other thing I'm looking for in this space is to hear your stories about being pursued by God. Talk about a time when you definitely knew God was after you. Or what about a time when you were after God? What things do you do to pursue God? Ever caught him? What was that like?
