A Question for Dialogue

Tackle this situation with me:

Let's say a person says they are a Christian. They go to church, AWANA, Youth Group, prayed a prayer when they were 5, serve in the nursery, read their Bible almost every day, say "Yes, Mam/ No Sir" to their parents, have all the books of the Bible memorized, go to Scholarship Camp every year, watch TBN every night, carry their Bible everywhere they go, are nice to their dog, and eat all their green vegetables.

But they sin, and are confronted.
And they don't really feel bad about the sin. It's not really a big deal to them; it doesn't seem to matter.

What would you say about that person?

Well, if they were really a Christian and loved God then their sin would bother them and they would feel guilty and ask for forgiveness from God.

I honestly don't know what I'd say. Hmm, but to comment on Amanda, they seem to do all the "Christian" things, or things people, including us Christians, interperet to define Christian. You got that? Okay, that person seems to do all these "Christian" things, but there's really no sign of actually loving God. They may act like it, but it really seems like this person is just a church brat. Whatever.

So, how should they be viewed by other Christians then? like a non-believer since they don't experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit? Or as a Christian who is weak/lost/confused? Do you "evangelize" them or try to "convict" them?

Um................................................................................................................................................................ you make me think too hard. Well, I think, if I'm understanding the question right, it seems like people (Christians) should try and convict them, since they are doing all the "Christian" things already. But ilke Ricky said, there isn't really any signs of that person LOVING God. Just acting like it.

Okay, what would be characteristics of a person who loves God, especially if the things I listed in the post aren't real good indicators?

Whoa, very intelligent thinking, Ashley. I wish I were that intelligent.

Well, I have to disagree. Even if you are a good person, a bad person, or anything, God forgives you. But that doesn't mean you can go off and do whatever you want!! You want to please God, and you don't want to disobey Him!! Plus, if you think about it, God just has the best intentions for you, and going off and doing sin wouldn't be wise 'cause God's just trying to protect you from evil.

Did that make any sense to you?

Sorry, sorry sorry, I meant AGRREE, not disagree. But if that person really thought that, then I would've definitely disagreed w/ him/her. Okay, now does it make any sense?

Ok, this should go in the "Random Question" post but there's a greater chance it will be seen here. So, someone else asked this question before but I didn't see the answer. If someone never had the chance to know who God was like at all, would they still go to heaven? Cuz I mean... like what if you were from some exotic country and they didn't really have any religions or beliefs. Would you still have a chance to go to heaven?

Wait...my question first. If a person does all the stuff listed in the blog, but doesn't feel guilt for thier sin, what does that make them?
