Ever seen that show on Discovery Chanel called MythBusters? Personally I love it, how they take something that most people believe and test it to see how true it actually is! It made me think how there are lots of things people believe about Jesus, the Bible, and Christians that may or may not really be true. So that's the next series we're tackling. Series begins June 12th. We'll be looking at a number of different myths. To get you started check out this episode of MythBusters!

Mythbusters
Ever see that Discovery channel show MythBusters? You know, the one where they take a commenly held idea -- like a portapotty can explode if too much Methane builds up in it, or if you're in a falling elevator you can survive if you jump up in the air at the very last second-- and test it by recreating the situation in a scientific way to prove if it is plausable or not? Well, what if we figure out a way to do that with commonly held ideas about the Christian faith? Stuff like "the Bible says that God helps those who help themselves" or "Christians are the happiest people". Well, the Bible never says that and maybe Christians aren't the happiest people.
So here's the question: what are some commonly held ideas-- myths-- that Christians belileve? And, if possible, what would be a cool, hands on way of testing the myth?
